EPI INDUSTRIES family of companies and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya have been establishing collaboration formulas and creating enriching synergies for years. For our part, Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology has renewed our agreement with this academic institution, which is considered one of the best positioned research universities in the technical and technological fields.

Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology at Cat-Mech

Together with Cat-Mech's research group, formerly called Oleohydraulic Systems Laboratory (LABSON), led by Esteve Codina, our technical team has developed a test bench for sealing joints that will be used by students and researchers to test their technological proposals. In this way, we have become an active part of this research laboratory integrated in the Fluid Mechanics Department of the University of Barcelona. Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). We are very proud to be part of and facilitate the exchange of R&D information with those who strive to improve the future. This test bench for sealing gaskets has been designed and manufactured to test the effectiveness of different seals for hydraulic actuators. This equipment allows:

• - Perform comparative tests.
• - Test different performances according to a wide range of configurations.
• - Test the tightness of the seals under different working conditions.
• - Optimize the development process of new products and propose improvements to existing products.

With this initiative, we remain committed to innovation and a sustainable and balanced industrial development. In addition, we provide access to this test bench to customers who are looking for a space in which to carry out real tests to optimize their designs and/or obtain the relevant approvals.
