Pressure seals

This type of seals allows simultaneous axial and radial displacement of piston rods/plungers (like an Archimedes screw) and up to 350 bar pressure.

Depending on their profile, rotating unions are either double-acting or single-acting.

Configurations:

  • Those of double effect consist of a low-friction sealing ring and an O-ring as energising element, and are pressure-tight on both sides.
  • The rotating unions of simple effect are spring-loaded energised lip collars with clamping flange and internal locking services.
