The guiding elements have the following characteristics The main function is to guide the piston and piston rod in a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, as well as to support the loads arising during the operation of the equipment.

The guides must avoid any metal-to-metal contact that could deteriorate the surfaces, cause damage to other components and lead to a sealing failure in the cylinder.

Configurations:

  • Various materials are available such as PTFE with fillers (usually graphite or bronze), fabric laminated with resins and PA polyamide with fillers, depending on the working conditions. All of them offer high wear resistance and demonstrate excellent properties in reducing the friction of the assembly.
  • Pre-formed designs are available for immediate installation on the cylinder, tape guide elements to be cut to size as well as spiral designs, suitable for various sizes and supplied preformed for easy installation.
