Pressure seals

This type of seals allows axial and radial displacements of rods/plungers simultaneously (like an Archimedes screw) and up to 350 bar of pressure.

Depending on their profile, rotary joints are either double acting or single acting.

Configurations:

  • Those of double effect consist of a low-friction sealing ring and an O-ring as energizing element, and can be pressurized from both sides.
  • The rotary joints of simple effect are spring-loaded energized lip collars with clamping flange and internal locking services.
