SKF® Speedi-Sleeve® bushings
Efficient and durable sealing

The SKF® Speedi-Sleeve® bushings are precision parts designed to recover shafts damaged by wear or scratching in the contact area of the lip seal lip.

What are V-rings?

They act as a new bearing surface, avoiding the need to machine or replace the original shaft.

Manufactured in 300 series stainless steel, These bushings are equipped with a resistant chrome-plated surface and a roughness finish between 10 and 20 RMS, optimized to guarantee an effective and durable seal.

Advantages of using Speedi-Sleeve® sleeves

  • Eliminate the need to grind or replace shafts.
  • They provide a high quality sealing surface.
  • They are easily installed without the need for special tools.
  • Compatible with standard seals, without the need to modify the housing.
  • Reduce maintenance costs and downtime.

Technical characteristics

  • MaterialStainless steel (300 series) with chrome-plated surface coating.
  • Surface finish: 10-20 RMS.
  • Thickness added to the shaft0.6 mm (absorbed by the seal membrane without affecting its function).
  • Standard surface hardness: 30-40 HRC / 74 Rockwell 15N.
  • Diameter rangeFrom 12 mm to 200 mm.

Available versions

Speedi-Sleeve® standard

Designed for most industrial applications. Provide a superior sealing surface over most original finishes.

Speedi-Sleeve® Gold

Recommended for services with high loads or abrasive conditions. Its surface has a hardness of 80-85 HRC, The sealing system has a higher resistance to wear and tear and a longer service life.

Common applications

  • Rotating equipment with shaft wear due to shaft seal contact.
  • Reconditioning of machinery without the need to completely disassemble the system.
  • Industrial, agricultural, automotive and power generation sectors.

FAQ's about Speedi-Sleeve® sleeves

When is it recommended to install a Speedi-Sleeve®?
When the shaft surface shows wear, scoring or pitting in the seal contact area and costly machining is to be avoided.
Does the increase in diameter affect the operation of the retainer?
No. The thickness of the bushing (0.6 mm) is designed to be absorbed by the seal membrane itself without the need for adjustment.
What tools are needed for installation?
Easily installed with basic tools.
Can they be used with all types of seals?
Yes, they are designed to work with standard seals on both new and reconditioned axles.
