Single-acting seal consisting of an energized collar with a metal spring that maintains the circular geometry of the collar around its entire perimeter, both inside and outside. The sealing lip has a protrusion on the inside that holds the spring in place. At low pressure, the force of the metal spring provides the seal closure while, as the pressure increases, the collar is energized by the fluid pressure itself.
