Single-acting seal consisting of a collar energized with a helical spring that maintains the circular geometry of the collar around its entire perimeter, both inside and outside. At low pressure, the force of the metal spring provides the seal closure while, as the pressure increases, the collar is energized by the fluid pressure itself.
- Good sealing against gases and other fluids.
- Part free of Stick-slip effect.
- Increased extrusion resistance due to heel extension.
Profile recommended for dynamic service in contact with chemically aggressive fluids or high temperature applications. The DK 150 seal can be machined in different formulations of filled PTFE, Virgin PTFE or even UHMW-PE for cryogenics. See materials section.
