Specifications
- The Hallite 777 double acting energized piston seal is a compact seal for medium to heavy duty applications designed to fit a variety of industry standard grooves, making it ideal for upgrading existing products. Our range of metric parts fit standard ISO 7425-1 type housings and our inch parts typically fit industry standard grooves.
- The seal geometry provides a fluid reservoir between the primary sealing lips, which reduces breakaway and running friction.
- The Hallite 777 consists of a wear-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane face seal preloaded with a square or rectangular cross-section NBR energizer depending on the groove proportions. The square or rectangular energizer provides equal loading on the seal face while providing improved stability compared to a conventional O-ring energizer. This design allows this seal to be used in smaller grooves without compromising the performance of the sealing system.
- The standard face material for the Hallite 777 is Hythane® 743, one of Hallite's high temperature polyurethanes (HTPU). Additional material options are available. The energizer material comes in several material options to extend the operating conditions. Contact your local Hallite technical team to decide which is best for your application.
- We recommend that a suitable bearing, such as Hallite 506 or 87 bearing strip or Hallite 533 molded bearing, be mounted on one or both sides of the seal. For details on bearing grooves, please refer to the appropriate product data sheet.F
