- The Hallite P16 is a low-friction, O-ring energized, single-acting piston seal, especially useful when smooth movement and location accuracy are required. The P16 design is based on the successful R16 rod seal design, which has proven to be an excellent seal in the marketplace. High-performance Armorlene® materials, such as HLX, provide excellent wear and extrusion resistance properties, as well as a wide temperature range and high-speed capabilities.
- The design of the P16 eliminates the possibility of slippage and its very low operating friction makes it ideal for high-speed applications. In particular, this seal is well suited for use in piston accumulators in conjunction with other Hallite piston seals. The P16 is designed to fit a variety of metric and inch grooves, including ISO 7425-1.
- This seal is available in a variety of Hallite's high performance Armorlene® materials to suit a wide range of demanding applications. A tandem arrangement using P54 or P16 in an Armorlene® material is effective for sealing high frequency and long stroke applications.
