The Hallite 33 cleaner has a lip designed to remove lightly adhering dirt from the rod, i.e. mud, dust or moisture.
The wiper is made of hard nitrile rubber suitable for installation in a slotted housing. Rod diameters (Ød1) of 20 mm and less require a two-piece housing.
To prevent dirt from passing through the outside of the cleaner and reduce pumping action, the outside diameter has an interference fit with the housing. Certain sizes of the standard Hallite 33 metric range are suitable for the ISO 6195 type A housing.
It should also be noted that the 33-inch Hallite profile differs from the metric profile.
