The Hallite 831 single lip pressure rod cleaner is designed to fit metric housings and is interchangeable with many common European cleaner styles. The proportions of the wiper lip ensure that contact is maintained with the rod surface to remove all mud deposits and other forms of contamination, except those found in heavy-duty industrial applications.
The outside diameter of the seal incorporates a crush lip to provide an interference fit with the casing and a front bead to ensure that the crush lip is not trapped in the corner of the casing. These features help prevent contaminants from entering the groove.
Molded ribs on the bore provide additional stability to the cleaner and help prevent the possibility of an explosion due to pressure entrapment between the cleaner and the main stem seal.
Hallite 831 is molded in polyurethane for maximum wear resistance and performance.
