The Hallite 842 single lip pressure rod cleaner is specifically developed for use in more hostile environments with heavy contamination, such as on agricultural, off-highway, forestry and longwall mining equipment.
The unique feature of the Hallite 842 is Umbrella Wiper Technology™, which is a protective debris flap on the wiper lip that completely covers the stuffing box housing and prevents water/sludge buildup that is common with conventional wipers.
This feature offers additional protection to the integrity of the hydraulic system, providing longer system life by reducing corrosion and preventing contamination from entering the wiper housing groove and hydraulic cylinder bushing.
Molded ribs on the bore provide additional stability to the cleaner and help prevent the possibility of an explosion due to pressure entrapment between the cleaner and the main stem seal.
Standard Hallite 842 is molded in Hythane® 181, Hallite's high-performance polyurethane, for easy installation and excellent low-temperature performance.
Several sizes, indicated by “*”, do not have an interference fit between the outside diameter of the wiper and the ØD₁ bore of the wiper housing. They float on the retaining lip.
