EXG

The Hallite EXG is a dual-action, dual O-ring energized wiper/excluder wand designed to include two unique and distinct wiper lip geometries. The EXG cleaner is designed primarily for heavily contaminated environments, especially when the wand faces upward. The two wiper lips combine to scrape debris off the wiper rod and contain residual oil on the wiper rod extension. Hallite's innovative Umbrella® wiper technology is designed to eliminate debris buildup ahead of the primary wiper lip by forcing it to flow to the outside diameter of the cylinder, away from the rod. The EXG design requires two O-ring energizers; one O-ring energizer provides downward force to maintain the engagement of the inner wiper lip, while the other O-ring provides the necessary force and static sealing of the primary wiper lip area to the sliding surface.
Generally made from proprietary Hallite Armorlene® materials, this seal is capable of high-speed applications and eliminates any possibility of slippage. High-performance Armorlene® materials, such as HLX, provide excellent wear and scuffability, as well as wide temperature range and media compatibility. The Halite EXG wiper employs the same basic design function principles as the Hallite E2W, E5W and EXF, although the EXG wiper may require a gland drain to adequately relieve pressure between the wiper and rod seal.
