- The Hallite 07 is a multi-lip stem seal for medium to heavy duty applications, consisting of a slip ring, V-rings and a female adapter.
- The slip ring is the main seal. It is a bonded construction of a V-ring of rubberized fabric and rubber. When installed, the section is preloaded to seal at low pressure, but has the strength and durability of fabric to perform at higher pressures. Rubberized fabric is also used for V-rings. These provide a secondary seal as the pressure acting on the head ring extends the V-rings, increasing the sealing area. The female adapter provides support and protection against extrusion damage. It is made of polyacetal or hard rubber fabric. The assembly is a pressure-actuated packing that requires no axial preload.
