Specifications
DS 219 is a single-acting seal energized by a U-shaped spring. The bead is extended to improve extrusion behavior. The upper lip has a protrusion on the inside to hold the spring in place. The bevel design of the inner lip provides increased scraping ability over the sliding area. At low pressure, the metal spring force opens the lips while, as pressure increases, the collar is energized by the fluid pressure itself.

It can be machined in different formulations of PTFE with additives, Virgin PTFE and even in UHMW-PE for cryogenics. See materials section.
