Each of the hydraulic cylinders contains one piston rod on each side of the feed, so that up to 8 different configurations of piston rod seals are tested in each test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The constructive design of the bench consists of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four cylinders per test.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eight sealing systems per test.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Modular cylinders that allow different types of assemblies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heated cylinder liners.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Variable number of cycles per test.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temperature set point.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pressure set point.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We want to study the behavior of a complex stem sealing system consisting of (from left to right): wiper, guide, collar, low friction seal, guide and guide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7900\" src=\"https:\/\/epidor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/guias-y-rascadores-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the fluid of interest, temperature, working pressure and number of cycles have been decided, the test stand is set to monitor the following parameters:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temperature fluctuations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pressure fluctuations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quantification of friction forces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leakage.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to observing and concluding on the fluid dynamic behavior of the stem, conclusions can also be drawn on the wear suffered by the parts after comparing them before and after the test.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The test bench is a very useful tool for the research and development of sealing solutions in the field of hydraulics. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7901\" src=\"https:\/\/epidor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/actuadores-electricos-epidor-srt-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"texto\" style=\"font-family: Montserrat; font-size: 0.9em;\">Detail of a test cylinder<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"pgc-7897-0-2\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\"  data-weight=\"0.050210187027859\" ><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Laboratorio de Sistemas Oleohidr\u00e1ulicos y Neum\u00e1ticos (LABSON) de la Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya (UPC) y EPIDOR Seals and Rubber Technology (ESRT) han colaborado en el desarrollo de un banco de pruebas que permite ensayar diferentes soluciones de estanqueidad para hidr\u00e1ulica.
