\n\tAt Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology we are aware of the importance of being able to provide solutions to our customers. Apart from going through a well defined design, a well selected material and a properly studied application, our solutions need to meet certain certifications required in certain sectors where our customers operate.<\/span><\/p>\n

In today's article, we are going to focus on the <\/span>BAM certification <\/b>for seals in contact with oxygen. This regulation refers to the contact, in our case of static seals, with oxygen at high pressure and temperature.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Any material that complies with these standards must first pass an analytical test to evaluate how it reacts under the pressure and temperature conditions mentioned. If, after the test, the gasket does not show mass variations and no self-ignition occurs in it (self-ignition is understood as the lowest temperature at which a body shows spontaneous combustion), the material complies with the BAM standard. This means that it is resistant to aging under the conditions of high pressure and temperature and with oxygen as the contact fluid<\/strong>, and is therefore certifiable as BAM compliant.<\/span><\/p>\n
