This procedure is recommended for parts that will work in contact with oxygen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most demanding cleaning is applied to those parts, to which a protective paint has been previously applied, and must be cleaned with <\/span><b>plasma scanning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be certified \u201c<\/span><b><i>PWIS free<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201daccording to standards <\/span><b>VW PV 3.10.7<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>FN 942010-2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y <\/span><b>QZ 24<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, among others. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the <\/span><b>O-ring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been cleaned, the high performance surface finish is applied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PIGMENTATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9062 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/epidor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/48-Acabados-superficiales-de-alto-rendimiento-2018-09-INTERIOR-01-300x185.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The part is colored with a determined color (RAL and PANTONE scales) that facilitates its identification in the field, without altering the properties of the <\/span><b>O-ring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Permanent treatment suitable for static and dynamic service conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>LUBRICATION TREATMENTS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are various lubricating agents such as silicone oils, molybdenum disulfide, PTFE or talc.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The silicone oil is transparent and is certified for <\/span><b>USP Class VI<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Molybdenum disulfide (MoS<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) performs well in a humid or high temperature environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PTFE is applied as a transparent film that facilitates part assembly due to its self-lubricating properties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talc fills the cavities on the surface of the part, making it slippery. Pharmaceutical quality talc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lubrication agents are absorbed into the surface of the <\/span><b>O-ring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and gradually disappear with use. For dynamic conditions, a coating is recommended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>COATINGS<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coatings are used to improve some property of the elastomer and are mostly based on PTFE resins with additives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They increase abrasion resistance, improve chemical resistance and may even increase hardness slightly.
