{"id":3053,"date":"2021-07-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epidor.com\/renovamos-nuestro-convenio-con-la-universitat-politecnica-de-catalunya\/"},"modified":"2025-05-05T12:12:26","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T10:12:26","slug":"we-renew-our-agreement-with-the-universitat-politecnica-de-catalunya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epidor.com\/en\/blog\/renovamos-nuestro-convenio-con-la-universitat-politecnica-de-catalunya\/","title":{"rendered":"We have renewed our agreement with the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EPI INDUSTRIES family of companies and the Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya have been establishing collaboration formulas and creating enriching synergies for years.<\/p>\n<p>For our part, Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology has renewed our agreement with this academic institution, which is considered one of the best positioned research universities in the technical and technological fields.<\/p>\n<h2>Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology at Cat-Mech<\/h2>\n<p>Together with Cat-Mech's research group, formerly called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.recercaterrassa.upc.edu\/es\/node\/329\">Oleohydraulic Systems Laboratory<\/a> (LABSON), led by Esteve Codina, our technical team has developed a test bench for sealing joints that will be used by students and researchers to test their technological proposals.<\/p>\n<p>In this way, we became an active part of this research laboratory integrated in the Fluid Mechanics Department of the University of California, USA. <strong>Polytechnic University of Catalonia<\/strong> (UPC). We are very proud to be part of and facilitate the exchange of R&amp;D information with those who strive to improve the future.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>test bench for sealing gaskets<\/strong> has been designed and manufactured to test the effectiveness of different seals for hydraulic actuators. This equipment allows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: 15.6px;\">- Perform comparative tests.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: 15.6px;\">- Test different performances according to a wide range of configurations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: 15.6px;\">- Test the tightness of the seals under different working conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: 15.6px;\">- Optimize the development process of new products and propose improvements to existing products.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With this initiative, <strong>we remain committed to innovation<\/strong> and a sustainable and balanced industrial development.
