Tightening the threaded connection causes the elastomer profile (which is easily deformable) to press inward, creating a seal between the surfaces to be sealed.<\/p>\n<p>The profile seal is designed to prevent fluid from leaking out, thereby preventing pressure loss. Otherwise, the seal will not be as effective as possible. Dust, dirt, metal shavings, or other foreign objects must be removed from the profile gasket housing. It is essential to ensure the correct installation position. The threaded ends must be covered using an installation tool. Installation tools must be made of a soft material (e.g., POM) and have no sharp edges. For installation purposes, neither the profile seal nor its housing should be greased.<\/p>\n<p>The housing and surface finishes must comply with DIN 3852, Part 11.
