In order to prevent this situation, Epidor SRT offers a new product of its own manufacture, the<strong> flat gasket with filter mesh<\/strong> incorporated.<\/p>\n<p>This preventive solution, specifically designed for the <strong>industrial maintenance<\/strong>, can also be implemented in those capital goods that include filtration operations.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Como_instalar_una_junta_plana_con_malla_filtrante\"><\/span>How to install a flat gasket with filter screen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It is important to emphasize that the operating conditions for flat gaskets do not apply to flat gaskets with filters; the use of the latter should be considered strictly temporary.<\/p>\n<p>The one-time installation of the<strong> flat gasket with filter mesh<\/strong> This should be done on pipes where maintenance work is to be performed. This will prevent foreign objects from entering the system while avoiding unnecessary repair costs for downstream components, such as flow meters, valves, sensors, and pressure gauges, among others.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend replacing the flat gasket with the temporary filter with the appropriate flat gasket before completing the startup and once no more foreign objects are being trapped in the system in question.<\/p>\n<p>Machine manufacturers can also use this solution as a safety feature in their equipment to prevent foreign objects from entering fluids that are normally clean. However, it cannot be considered a continuous filtration solution due to its limited contact surface area.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Como_son_las_juntas_planas_de_filtro_fabricadas_en_Epidor_SRT\"><\/span>How are filter gaskets manufactured in Epidor SRT<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The manufacturing process involves bonding the AISI 304 stainless steel 60-mesh filter mesh to two sheets of flat gasket material and cutting it to size according to the customer's specifications.<\/p>\n<p>The standard material for the gasket is Gloster-Press<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> G, a fiber and NBR composite widely used in sealing applications. Additionally, depending on specific requirements, we manufacture flat gaskets with filters using other compressed fibers and different mesh counts.<\/p>\n<p>Once the new flat gasket sheet with a built-in filter is available, it is cut to produce standardized gaskets in accordance with DIN, ASME, EN 1514-1, and other standards, or it can be cut to custom specifications based on other geometries.
