Pour commencer, un conseil : ne le faites jamais \u00e0 chaud, car les boulons n'ont pas la m\u00eame \u00e9lasticit\u00e9 qu'\u00e0 froid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais que s'est-il pass\u00e9 ? Une erreur humaine ? Non.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce qui s'est pass\u00e9, c'est que le mat\u00e9riau du joint n'a pas pu maintenir son \u00e9paisseur sous l'effet du serrage des boulons. En d'autres termes, le joint s'est d\u00e9tendu avec un effet similaire \u00e0 celui du desserrage des \u00e9crous sur les boulons. On dit alors que le joint a subi un fluage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les mat\u00e9riaux des joints n\u00e9cessitent une pression de surface minimale pour assurer l'\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 du joint \u00e0 bride. Cette pression est fournie par la force orthogonale appliqu\u00e9e (couple) \u00e0 la zone du joint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si l'\u00e9paisseur du mat\u00e9riau du joint souffre et c\u00e8de au couple appliqu\u00e9 au joint de la bride, la surface du joint augmente automatiquement et, par cons\u00e9quent, la pression superficielle exerc\u00e9e diminue proportionnellement. Si elle est inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la valeur minimale, le joint de la bride fuit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En tant qu'utilisateur de joints en PTFE vierge, ce probl\u00e8me ne vous semblera pas nouveau. Lorsque vous utilisez des joints en PTFE vierge, vous devez fr\u00e9quemment resserrer les brides en raison du fluage \u00e9lev\u00e9 du mat\u00e9riau du joint. En fait, le PTFE vierge est probablement le plus mauvais mat\u00e9riau de joint et n'est utilis\u00e9 que pour son excellente r\u00e9sistance chimique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le tableau ci-dessous pr\u00e9sente quelques valeurs de fluage en fonction du mat\u00e9riau du joint et de la temp\u00e9rature. Le fluage est exprim\u00e9 en perte de serrage initial (%), \u00e0 la temp\u00e9rature donn\u00e9e et pour la m\u00eame base de temps dans tous les cas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10600 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/epidor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/56-La-fluencia-en-juntas-planas-2019-13-INTERIOR-01.png\" alt=\"56 - Fluage des joints plats 2019-13 INTERIOR 01\" width=\"756\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La solution au probl\u00e8me de fluage d'un mat\u00e9riau n'est pas simple. Parmi les mat\u00e9riaux de joints possibles, il convient de choisir celui dont le fabricant publie la valeur de fluage\/relaxation la plus faible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'\u00e9paisseur du joint joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le important. Plus le joint est mince, plus le fluage du mat\u00e9riau est faible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dans la mesure du possible, \u00e9valuer la pression superficielle que le joint exercera au couple r\u00e9duit par le fluage du mat\u00e9riau et s'assurer que cette pression superficielle est sup\u00e9rieure au minimum requis par le mat\u00e9riau. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En revanche, dans le cas de l'installation de joints en PTFE, l'ajout de charges au PTFE vierge r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement le fluage du mat\u00e9riau. Les additifs agissent comme des barri\u00e8res qui contiennent la d\u00e9formation du PTFE. En outre, si l'on part d'un PTFE restructur\u00e9 (<\/span><b>Gylon<\/b><b>\u00ae<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), les r\u00e9sultats s'am\u00e9liorent consid\u00e9rablement. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L'image ci-dessous montre des joints en PTFE charg\u00e9s avant et apr\u00e8s l'essai de fluage. Les joints sont soumis \u00e0 une temp\u00e9rature de 260\u00b0C pendant 1 heure et comprim\u00e9s \u00e0 une pression de 140 bars. Le fluage se manifeste par une perte d'int\u00e9grit\u00e9 structurelle de l'\u00e9chantillon :<\/span><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10601 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/epidor.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/56-La-fluencia-en-juntas-planas-2019-13-INTERIOR-02.png\" alt=\"56 - Fluage des joints plats 2019-13 INTERIOR 02\" width=\"739\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les \u00e9chantillons 1, 2 et 3 proviennent de <\/span><b>Gylon<\/b><b>\u00ae<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> avec du sulfate de baryum, des billes de verre et des charges de silice, respectivement.
