Shaft Repair Bushings Epidor Sleeve

Solutions for Shafts

The repair sleeves are precision parts designed to recover shafts damaged by wear or scratching in the contact area of the lip seal lip.

What are shaft repair sleeves used for?

They act as a new bearing surface, avoiding the need to machine or replace the original shaft.

Manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel in accordance with ASTM A240/A240M, offer excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasive wear. The high-precision ground raceway has a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.25–0.50 μm.

Frequently Asked Questions About Shaft Repair Bushings

When is it recommended to install a shaft repair sleeve?
When the shaft surface shows wear, scoring or pitting in the seal contact area and costly machining is to be avoided.
Does the increase in diameter affect the operation of the retainer?
No. The thickness of the bushing (0.6 mm) is designed to be absorbed by the seal membrane itself without the need for adjustment.
What tools are needed for installation?
Each Epidor Sleeve comes with the necessary mounting tool to ensure quick and precise installation.
Can they be used with all types of seals?
Yes, they are designed to work with standard seals on both new and reconditioned axles.
